As previously noted, cholesterol levels can change when oral steroids are used, even for short periods. Recent research has pointed the finger at cholesterol as being one of the most important steroid related side effects bodybuilders want to avoid. The thickening of the blood (red blood count RBC), artery plaque, high blood pressure, high LDL and low HDL can and will lead to coronary heart disease (CHD) if adequate precautions aren’t taken. It is thus advised; all oral steroids are taken for cycles of 6-8 weeks and no longer. Support supplements are also advised, these include: Curcumin, Citrus Bergamot, Vitamin K2, Omega-3.
Tbol is not really seen as being the best anabolic steroid for bulking due to the fact that the properties of this drug are better suited for other things, but this does not mean that it is not an effective drug, it is just that it does not have a lot of versatility. Like we have already discussed, this anabolic steroid does not aromatize, therefore you do not have to worry about estrogenic side effects such as gynecomastia, water retention and a couple other side effects such as insomnia, or high blood pressure. No aromatase inhibitor is needed when on a Tbol cycle, so those who are prone to estrogen related side effects will appreciate this drug.
Though studies are limited, the effects of Turinabol on women were observed back in the 1960s when coaches in East Germany gave it to their female athletes for performance enhancement. They were given considerably low doses of just 5mg to 15mg a day, and the results were startling. Almost all the female athletes who used Turinabol experienced virilization to some degree, and some experienced severe virilization to the point that they grew facial hair and Adam’s apples. Aside from this, these women developed serious heart problems, liver disease, infertility, and psychiatric disorders, and a handful of them even died. Some women still use Turinabol at doses of -5mg but it’s not recommended for women compared to other safer options.
